| FOOD for HEALTH - A healthy eating support group |
MEETS: every other Monday, 6:30-8pm in the YFM Building Arizona Rm.
Love offerings are appreciated.
Contact: Jenifer Tull-Gauger 480-330-8886, jenifer@unityofmesa.org
This group’s purpose is to bring together people who wish to learn more about how what we eat affects our health and how to apply what we learn to our lifestyles, while supporting each other in healthy eating, an important key to well-being. Initial format will be a book study on The Okinawa Diet Plan (not a diet, but a good basic reference on food and health).
Jenifer Tull-Gauger is a slightly-more-than-average-health-conscious American with a busy lifestyle (business owner, part-time church staff, karate and yoga instructor, with a husband, two kids and a dog.) She has always been moderately nutrition-oriented. Reading The Okinawa Diet Plan over a year ago inspired her to promote healthy nutrition for others - hence the start of this group.

Transformation Through Cancer:
A Women's Ministry Cancer Support and Spiritual Journey Group |
Meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month: 7-8:30p.m.
Unity of Mesa, YFM Building Library (next to the church)
Surrounded in the protection of love and prayer, we invite all women currently journeying with cancer and all women who have emerged from their journey, to join together to explore and experience the opportunities for
spiritual transformation. The intention of our support group is to empower women to consciously walk with their cancer in enlightenment, wholeness and healing.
We will explore fear, joy, happiness, lessons and gifts the cancer brings to us by shifting our focus to look at our cancer as an opportunity to grow, discover ourselves and emerge the radiant butterfly we are each meant to be.
Our group gatherings are intended to uplift, inspire and dig deep into our lives.
Facilitated by Cyndi Ruehl. Diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer as a single mom at age 48, Cyndi
consciously shifted her perspective from the predominant culture view of cancer fear and
victimization, to the idea of journeying with her cancer hand-in-hand, to come to know its lessons and gifts. Openness to the journey experience brought her into alignment with her soul’s vibration and connection with God, bringing unimaginable depth and expansion to her life. “It was in the throws of chemo where I first experienced the explosion of God’s Joy, shaking me to the core and transforming my life forever. Through the transformative journey with cancer I emerged the woman I came here to be!”
