We have several groups that meet at Unity Church on a regular basis. Some are community related groups and others are sponsored by Unity Church of Mesa. Most groups are funded on a love offering basis.

Creative Writing (Scribe Tribe)

We are a creative writing group seeking those who have written or are interested in writing: poetry, short stories, novels, vignettes, etc. No experience is required. Our mission statement is to share our writing endeavors in a friendly, non-judgmental environment. We offer encouragement and support while learning from others. We open each session with a meditation and close with The Prayer for Protection. Our code of conduct is based on the Four Agreements. A support group for mothers who now have, or have had, children honorably serving in the military.

IANDS Mesa

The International Association for Near-Death Studies, has organized several wonderful guest speakers and will hold monthly meetings on a love offering basis here.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
Monthly IANDS Meetings
7:00-8:30pm last Friday of every month  in the YFM Fillmore Rm. These small group meetings provide support for individuals that have had near death experiences, transformative experiences, or other meaningful life experiences. Anyone searching for more information about life and the aftereffects of a near death experience is invited. 
Of special interest are NDE’s, veterans from Iraq or Afghanistan, hospice patients, bereaved parents, counselors, teachers and nurses.

Pranic Healing Clinic

Formed to utilize the Pranic Healing modality of Master Stephen Co, author of "Your Hands Can Heal You." Healers trained under Master Co are offering this form of no-touch energetic healing which utilizes prana (life energy) to balance, harmonize and transform the bodies' energy, bringing about a sense of well being and healing. Our Clinic includes an introduction to Pranic Healing, gentle light exercises, meditation and subsequent healing by the healers.

For all persons desiring to rid themselves of aches, pains, stress, etc., please join us.  Our location around the church changes regularily depending upon group size and the weather.  We do usually meet in the the Annex Fillmore Room.

Sunday Coordinator & Baking Team:

We make birthday cakes for Birthday Sunday and other baked goods for friendship hour. We really would love additional volunteer bakers.

We also appreciate any assistance we can get on Sunday mornings to set out refreshments and to clean up after 2nd Service. This is a great opportunity for teens who need to complete Community Service hours for school, etc.

WAMMS: WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES!!!

The objective of WAMMS is to call upon “Our Children” to collect their gently used shoes...which will then be shipped to IRAQ, AFGANISTAN & around the world…for use by children who have no shoes, at all. Through this project, “Our Children” will gain a valuable geography lesson; as well as an opportunity for humanitarian
service...while further contributing to PEACE amongst the Children of the World. Oh, Yes...truly an example of LOVE-in-ACTION.   The procedure will be:

  1. Collect gently used/new shoes...especially for Children/Teens
  2. Welcome ‘sponsorship’ of boxes to be shipped overseas & to U.S.
  3. Invite Business Resources to assist & participate.
