Saturday, Oct. 1 – 7 a.m. – Fast-paced HIKE up to and past Praying Hands
This will be almost a 7-mile hike for adventurers that like a challenge. Some parts will be off trail and climbing over boulders on a steep up-hill climb. Hiking boots or shoes with good tread are important. Bring at least 2 liters of water, snacks, and a couple of dollars to pay to get into Lost Dutchman Park ($6/car). Meet at Grand View Steak House in the Painted Mtn. Resort at 5:30pm. (just east of Recker Road on the north side of McKellips).

This is a steep hike about 3 to 4 RT miles in length, which will give you a lovely view of the Valley. Hiking boots are recommended and you may want to use a pole(s). Bring shoes with good tread, water, and a couple of dollars to pay entry fee into Usery Park. This is a beginner's hike about 3 to 4 miles in length, but does have a steady, fairly steep incline about half way through, which will give you a lovely view of the Valley. Hiking boots are recommended and you may want to use a pole(s). We'll meet at 7 a.m. behind the Village Inn on Apache Trail in Apache Junction, between Ironwood and Idaho Rds. Thursday, Nov. 24 – Outside Thanksgiving at Usery Park
Singles are gathering with the Sierra Club to hike (at 10 a.m.), join in a potluck (at noon), and party around the campfire until sunset. There may be dirt in the food and interesting weather but this is the one for you if you like outdoor adventure and nature loving friends.
