These youth meet each Sunday for lessons in practical Christianity, learn their Truth, and live in their Truth. Each week the lesson focuses on a specific Unity principle and is supported by music, activities, and experiences that give meaning to teens in the "real world."  In addition, they participate in  fundraising projects, service projects, "lock-ins" and other activities to promote the "connection" that young teens so  need and desire.

Uniteen news:

• Uniteen Lock-In here on Sept 11-12.  We start at 4p. on the 11th.  We will be finishing the “Change lessons”  and doing some other fun things.

Our vision is to embrace the awareness of our perfection, to celebrate being simply divine, and to empower the intention of Unity.  Weekly lessons are youth led and adult facilitated to meet the demands of being a teen in today's world.  The Y.O.U. of Mesa are involved in fundraising projects, service projects, conferences and many activities throughout the year in addition to their weekly lessons.

YOU News:

1. Uniteen Lock-In: We are looking for teens to help out with the Uniteen Lock-In here on Sept 11-12.  We start at 4p. on the 11th.  We will be finishing the “Change lessons”  and doing some other fun things.
2. Lessons In Truth Classes: Wednesday’s, Sept 8-Oct 20, 6:30-8:15pm. Lessons In Truth by H. Emile Cady, is one of Unity’s Foundational texts. Joel will be teaching this class and you are all welcome to attend. Anyone 16 and older can receive credit for this class.

3. Y.O.U Lock-In: Sept 25-26 at the Arlotti’s home. More details coming soon.

4. Potato Bar: Sunday, Oct 10: We will have our traditional Potato Bar fundraiser after the second service (possibly after 1st).

5. Y.O.U Picnic: Sunday, Oct 17 more details coming soon.

6. Y.O.U Sunday: Nov 21st. Joel would like to work with a group of teens interested in creating the Sunday Service that day. This will be the last day of the 12 Powers which is Life and also Thanksgiving Sunday. We will have a brainstorming session with Joel in late Sept.

7. Mark Welch Fund Raiser: Sunday, Dec 12, 1-3pm. Mark Welch has offered to do a Music Afternoon as a fund raiser for us! We will sell tickets ahead of time, serve food after the second service, and possibly having a cookie contest! We will create a committee to work out the details. We also need all teens here to help that day.

8. Meditations: Y.O.Uers we want one of you to do the meditation for the “Adult Service” one Sunday per month. Joel will help you prepare. Sophia, Rafe, and Kelly have already done this so talk to them if you have questions.

9. Sunday Music: Some of you are talented musicians/singers, if you are interested in doing Sunday morning music for the “Adult Services” next year let us know. You will have to audition with Joel.
