Youth & Family Ministry
Unity of Mesa teaches positive, practical Christianity, and offers a dynamic inter-spiritual educational program for children and youth. We promote key values such as compassion, love, gratitude, service, diversity and the application of truth principles. We foster an atmosphere that encourages an understanding of God along with self-understanding.
We begin in the Sanctuary at 10:15 AM, then ages K-12 are invited to join their teachers and friends for a time of learning, connection and fun. Nursery is available for ages 6 weeks - 3 years.

Ages & Stages
Uni-Tots - 6 weeks – 3 years
UniTots, or Nursery, is a bright, safe and comfortable space, with welcoming attendants ready to ensure our youngest ones enjoy their Sunday morning experience.
Unikids - K-5th
In UniKids, elementary-aged students explore spiritual principles through art, music, puppets, stories, games, meditation, and prayer. These lessons are based in relevant life issues about self-knowing, using our talents, and understanding our feelings, and often originate from a Bible or spiritually based story, followed by a guided discussion. The discussion encourages deeper thinking to help the students find personal meaning and direction from the story.
Uniteens 6th-8th
UniTeens provides a safe place for youth to connect with others and explore what they believe. They also attend events sponsored by Unity’s Southwest Region to go deeper into their own spiritual understandings, and to connect with other UniTeens.
YOU (Youth of Unity) 9th-12th
Y.O.U. (Youth of Unity) is an international youth group for teens ages 14-18 (grades 9-12). The purpose of Y.O.U. is to provide youth the opportunity to explore Unity’s principles and other truth teachings and to demonstrate these in their daily lives. Youth discuss and learn a variety of spiritual teachings, attend social gatherings, and become involved in their church and community.
Our Y.O.U.ers also have the opportunity to participate in Unity’s Southwest Regional events to help them go deeper into their own spiritual understandings as well as connect on a deeper level with other Y.O.U.ers. Each group meets for activities and social events to have fun and develop healthy relationships. Intergenerational events are also offered. Our young people have the opportunity to participate in leadership in Sunday morning services and in their classes and activities.

Our Teachers
Our YFM team brings many talents from their professional lives as teachers, tutors, counselors, musicians, managers, social workers, caregivers, and more. All have passed a background check and participate in ongoing training.
Interested in Volunteering?
Come support the spiritual development of youth and families! Opportunities include teaching or assisting in the classroom or nursery, activities sponsor, camp leader, and preparing supplies.
