PRAYER CHAPLAINS

Scroll down for prayer request forms.

What is a Prayer Chaplain?

A Prayer Chaplain is a Unity of Mesa congregant who is available to support other congregants on their spiritual journey.  Prayer Chaplains are trained to create and hold a sacred space with others, lovingly listen and hold what is shared in strictest confidence, and pray with others.

How Can I Become a Prayer Chaplain?

Being a Prayer Chaplain is transformative soul work as it deepens your spiritual path through prayer and service.  No prior experience with prayer or praying with others is required to serve as a Prayer Chaplain.  To become a Prayer Chaplain at Unity of Mesa requires the following steps:
  • Prayerfully seek guidance on this decision.
  • Have a dialogue with Rev.  Nickie Golden, Co-Minister.
  • Take the Unity Prayer Class (a prerequisite for training).
  • Attend Unity of Mesa Prayer Chaplain Training (all sessions):

How Can I Reach a Prayer Chaplain?

On-duty Prayer Chaplains, who can be identified by their white prayer shawls, are available to meet and pray with Unity of Mesa congregants each Sunday.

There is a Prayer Box in the community room to place your prayer intentions and the chaplains will hold them in prayer for 30 days.  Then, the prayers will be sent to Silent Unity to be prayed over for 30 days.

During the week you can call the main number and to leave a message for the Prayer Chaplains.

Prayer Requests

As we are all staying home, you can still submit a prayer request at anytime.

    Submit a Prayer Request

"Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”  (Mark 11:24)

“In prayer with another person, in a consciousness of Oneness, there is no you and me.  We extend this realized consciousness to the other person. We know truth for them at a time when they may not realize it for themselves.” ~Rev. Linda Martella-Whitsett

Enter only if you would like a response to your prayer request.
We will pray with you and your dear one for one week affirming Spiritual Guidance. Then we will forward their name to Silent Unity for an additional 30 days of prayer.

Unity of Mesa gathers on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded land of the Tohono O’odham, Akimel O’odham, and Hohokam Peoples, who have stewarded this land throughout the generations. We respectfully acknowledge this land as sacred, historical, and significant, and we recognize the sovereignty of these nations.
